Fractional Head of Marketing

Senior marketing leadership, without the full-time cost.

I embed with your team 2–4 days a week to run acquisition strategy, manage campaigns, build systems, and own the numbers.

When this makes sense

You need a Head of Marketing — someone who can set strategy, run the team, manage the budget, and be accountable for growth. But you either can't justify a $200k+ full-time salary, or you need someone who can hit the ground running while you figure out the permanent hire.

A fractional engagement gives you senior leadership at a fraction of the cost, with none of the ramp-up time. I've done this job full-time at ASX-adjacent companies. I know how to walk into a business, assess what's working, and start making decisions that move numbers.

What I do in the role

  • Acquisition strategy — Channel mix, budget allocation, funnel design, conversion optimisation. The full picture, not just one platform.
  • Campaign execution — I don't just plan and delegate. I write copy, build campaigns, review creative, and optimise performance. The thinking and the doing come from the same person.
  • Team leadership — Managing copywriters, media buyers, designers, and agencies. Setting priorities, reviewing work, unblocking problems.
  • AI systems — I build tools as I work. Compliance checkers, content research systems, copy drafting engines — whatever your team needs to move faster.
  • Reporting and accountability — Clear reporting on what's working, what isn't, and what we're doing about it. No vanity metrics.
  • Vendor and agency management — Evaluating, briefing, and holding external partners accountable for results.

Industries I know well

I've led marketing in financial services (subscription investing), tourism (national and event-scale), insurance comparison, and travel aggregation. I'm particularly strong in subscription and membership businesses where the economics of acquisition, retention, and lifetime value are central to the model.

I also hold an RG146 qualification in Generic Knowledge and Securities, which means I understand the regulatory environment in financial services marketing — not just the marketing playbook.

How it works

We start with a scoping conversation to understand your business, your team, and what you need. If we're a good fit, I typically work 2–4 days per week on a rolling monthly contract. I can work remotely (I'm Gold Coast-based) or on-site in South East Queensland.

No lock-in contracts. No bloated retainers. You get a senior marketing leader who's accountable for results, and you can scale the engagement up or down as your needs change.

Let's see if I'm the right fit.

Book a no-obligation conversation. I'll ask about your business and your team, and I'll be honest about whether I can help.
